HydroWise Insulation

Unlike most manufacturers that simply spray their hot tub and swim spa shells with foam, Hydropools use two layers of the same innovative insulation used by NASA to protect astronauts from the cold of space!

The first layer of their Hydrowise insulation insulates the shell of the hot tub or swim spa to keep the heat in the water, similar to a typical full foam hot tub. The 2nd insulates the cabinet and floor of the hot tub or swim spa. This added layer of insulation serves two purposes:

1. It helps reduce energy costs by trapping waste heat generated from the hot tub’s pumps and heater and using it to further heat the water in the plumbing! An average hot tub pump creates 1.5kW’s of waste heat. This translates to an average of $0.14 of heat being lost every hour the pumps are on, or around $300-400 a year! Hydropool’s Hydrowise insulation reflects 90-97% of that heat back to the water, saving you big on your energy bill!
2. It heats the air in the cabinet to protect the hot tub’s equipment from the cold of winter. In case of a power failure, your hot tub or swim spa can last days without fear of freeing any of the plumbing or equipment.

Evergreen Pumps

While most hot tubs and swim spas are pretty well insulated these days, when looking at energy savings, insulation is only one part of the equation. Another big part is the jet pumps. Hydropool’s Evergreen jet pumps have been specifically designed with energy efficiency and water flow in mind; delivering better water flow while also running on an average of 26% less power.

Their Self-Cleaning lines of hot tubs and swim spa take this a step further, adding a special filtration pumps to run the day to day maintenance of the hot tub. This pump only requires 1/6 the power of a typical jet pump, saving you a ton of money on your energy bills!
